Payment Management

I. Customer Payment Management

(1)  In order to rent, reserve, and use accommodations or a vehicle on the platform, the Customer must have selected a payment method offered during registration or on the MonEvasion platform and entered the corresponding information. If the Customer chooses an offline payment method, they must contact MonEvasion to specify the appropriate payment method. MonEvasion reserves the right to request payment confirmation in order to confirm the reservation with the Service Provider.

(2)  For the standard payment method, the holder of the selected payment method must be the Customer. The Customer must keep all personal information entered in their MonEvasion user account up to date. If the information is outdated, incomplete, fraudulent, or inaccurate (e.g., an inactive email address or an unassigned phone number), MonEvasion reserves the right to temporarily suspend the Customer’s account.

(3)  The customer must agree to pay all penalties, traffic tickets, fines, and toll charges incurred during the rental period.

(4)  By saving their credit card information and agreeing to pay by credit card, the Customer authorizes MonEvasion to charge their credit card for all outstanding amounts, fees, flat-rate charges, and contractual penalties payable under the Framework Agreement and/or the Individual Rental Agreement.

(5) The Payment Services may contain links to third-party websites or resources (“Third-Party Services”). These Third-Party Services are subject to different terms of use and privacy policies, which Members should review. MonEvasion is not responsible for the use of these Third-Party Services. Links to Third-Party Services do not constitute an endorsement by MonEvasion of those Third-Party Services.

II - Payment Management for Service Providers

(1)  Each Service Provider must specify the desired payment method (PayPal, bank transfer) and provide the necessary information so that MonEvasion can send them their payment;

(2) Service Providers must agree that MonEvasion will pay them the full amount owed, minus any transfer or wire transfer fees.;

(3)  MonEvasion collects the rental fee as soon as the reservation is made and once the rental has been confirmed between the customer and the Service Provider, and collects any potential adjustments and compensation due at the end of the rental period. MonEvasion remits the Service Provider’s earnings, including adjustments and compensation, after deducting any amounts owed by the Service Provider (for example: transfer or wire transfer fees, fuel adjustments, or in the event of undue or excessive charges incurred by the Service Provider) within 10 business days following the end of the Rental. MonEvasion may suspend payment to the Service Provider in the event of additional checks that need to be performed or a customer complaint.

What payment methods are accepted on our website? ?

Several different payment methods can be used on our platform. The available payment methods may vary depending on the country where you make your reservation. To pay, you must use your credit or debit card. MonEvasion will then charge your card in real time. Depending on the country, you may use other payment methods, such as PayPal or bank transfer. Payment is completely secure thanks to the highest level of data encryption.

III- Autorisation de paiement

First, the Customer authorizes MonEvasion to charge the credit card used to pay for the rental in question for any amounts owed to the Service Provider at the end of the rental (such as, but not limited to, the rental price, the security deposit, compensation, administrative fees, penalties, etc.) in the name and on behalf of the Service Provider. In any case, MonEvasion will not charge the Customer or pay the Service Provider for issues reported to MonEvasion by the Customer outside the timeframes specified in the Terms of Service. MonEvasion uses payment service providers (such as Stripe) to collect the amounts charged through the Platform.

Any creation of a Service Provider account on the Platform results in the automatic creation of a payment account on Stripe’s Stripe Connect service (for more information, please visit this link. This is to enable MonEvasion to pay the amounts due to the Service Provider after deducting any amounts owed, for example, in the form of commissions, protection plans, fuel adjustments, or in the event of improper or excessive charges against the Service Provider) .

Any amount paid on the Platform using a payment method other than PayPal is transferred to and held by MonEvasion. As soon as an amount is due to a Customer (end of rental, cancellation, etc.), MonEvasion issues a transfer order to Stripe so that Stripe can transfer the amount due directly to the bank account details provided by the Customer in their Account. Any amount paid on the Platform via PayPal is held in a dedicated bank account. As soon as that amount is due to a User (end of rental, cancellation, etc.), a transfer request is issued from that bank account to the bank account details provided by the Customer in their Account.

Due to this partnership with Stripe, MonEvasion may be required to implement due diligence measures and verify the identity of Customers. Amounts due cannot be paid to the Service Provider if the Customer refuses to provide the required information or documents (valid identification and/or proof of address issued within the last 3 months).

Payments of fines or payments made in accordance with a court order following a dispute between two Users may not be processed through Stripe..

IV- Security Deposit

Customers agree that MonEvasion, through its payment processing partner Stripe, may place a security deposit on the Customer’s credit card. This security deposit is a temporary hold on funds on a credit card. These funds are not debited from the bank account. However, the hold may appear on the Customer’s bank statement depending on the Customer’s bank’s policy. The security deposit is placed at the time of booking the vehicle or accommodation. MonEvasion may increase the amount of the security deposit in the event of damage or a violation involving a vehicle or accommodation during a previous rental by a Customer. At the end of the rental, the security deposit will be held for up to 30 days after the rental ends..
